Licensed Therapist, Professor, Consultant and Researcher
Pain is often a sign that aspects of our inner life need our attention. This pain may be generational, ancestral, self-inflicted or due to a series of upsetting events in our lives. Drawing from 10 years of experience in mental health I enjoy helping clients get unstuck and transform their lives.
If pain brings you to therapy it may be manifesting in the form of depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship and family issues, identity challenges, grief and loss and more.
I have wanted to do this work since I was a child and it is my soul’s purpose. As a highly sensitive person and healer, I utilize my sensitivity and attention to body language, emotions, subtle energy systems and more to help individuals get to the root of their issues.
I help clients find solutions and regain their balance with an understanding of the mind-body connection, generational and systemic trauma, social justice, spirituality and a relational therapeutic approach.
Artists, creative professionals, Highly Sensitive People, and underserved populations (ex: women, men of color, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+) are especially drawn to my work. Together we will get to the root of your challenges while also discovering your unique strengths to overcome the legacy of the pain you may be experiencing. In our work together you can expect a compassionate, soul-centered approach, trauma informed, and culturally affirming approach.
I have been practicing individual, couple, group and family therapy for 10 years. Prior to starting my own practice, I worked in community mental health, schools, field based and private practice settings with a diverse range of clientele and challenges including low-income families, high risk trauma, CEO’s and creatives.
I am currently an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University.
Also, as an award winning doctoral level licensed therapist and coach, I also offer my expertise to companies, organizations and universities in the U.S. and abroad (Africa) for the purpose of training staff and students and developing, implementing and improving programs for the general public.
Lastly, as a researcher and writer, I contribute my expertise to academia and media corporations for the purpose of sharing new data about the field of mental health and entrepreneurship.
Pain need not control your life. Transformation and healing are possible.
